Black Moon Chronicles - By François Marcela-Froideval and Ledroit and Pontet - A classic French(?) humorous fantasy epic with great 80’s style mind blowing art. Follows a ‘chosen one’ character throughout their rise to greatness with a variety of colorful side characters and adventures. Features engineer dwarves and evil wizards and various gods and mystical realms. Technically its ongoing, but the story has been largely satisfied in the main story arc. it is LONG though. The main conflict of which is with an evil wizard. It features incredible large battles, magical transformations and all of the best fantasy tropes. The art is fantastic and done by 1 artist for the first chunk and another for the rest. It really is a blast, almost like a DnD adventure gone seriously out of hand. Would definitely Buy, Would definitely gift, but I think its impossible to find in print. An English print edition may not even exist as it may have only been a digital release. Most searches come up with a 98 PC game based on the series that seems to have a cult following. LM 9/11/24
