Thorgal - Jean Van Hamme Grzegorz Rosiński - Some other artists/ writers for follow up series - A sort of Conan the Barbarian variant in Viking setting. A very famous fantasy epic comic spanning the lead characters' different life periods and achievements. It's Belgian or French I think and has that style you might expect from a sword and sorcery type Viking comic from it’s tradition of origin and genre. It is basically medieval fantasy but does have an interesting sci fi tie in that I wont give away. It’s good, it's just paced a bit slowly for my taste and I have little patience for these sorts of sincere epics that toe the line of the genre so perfectly. I must admit I didn’t read the whole thing as there is a LOT of it. The art is very solid as are the tropes. Wouldn’t buy personally, but can recommend to those that are specifically into this stuff. Age probably 13+, but they would likely find it more boring. LM 4/8/25
